The Yoga Factory: Building Positive FuturesA very valuable course!
I attended the course 1 – building positive futures and due to the COVID pandemic we did this virtually. I found the course really interesting especially the breathing techniques and how this can help you to feel completely relaxed. Trish also had a lot of knowledge and experience teaching children and I felt the course was set perfectly for this. She includes lot’s of fun challenges and partner work in her routines which I can’t wait to try out as I know this will really engage my students. It’s a really valuable course and I intend to use it to help students who suffer with mental health or self-esteem.
Response from The Yoga Factory
Great to meet you Beth and to know you are taking so much away from attending the course. Look forward to seeing you on our ‘Building Confidence & Self-Esteem’ where you will learn a lot more to help students with their mental health and to help build their confidence.
Yoga course for schools
Trish taught us via zoom and even though I was a little hesitant to how effective this would be, I was pleasantly surprised. The whole day ran very smoothly from start to finish. Trish talked and guided us through the routines. She showed us many posture variations so that yoga is accessible to all. Her knowledge on the benefits of yoga was exceptional and her enthusiasm for improving children’s concentration and focus has really encouraged me to take what I have learnt into my school. I highly recommend this course.
Response from The Yoga Factory
Thank you Nannette for your review and happy that you are able to take so much away from the day and I am sure your students will benefit so much from the routines and your enthusiasm.

I recently completed a course in yoga allowing me to teach routines 1 -4. The course was taught in a practical manner and was a very enjoyable day. The course was very thorough and introduced me to a new activity which I had previously overlooked and written off, not anymore. Trish (the course instructor) was a very inspiring woman with a wealth of knowledge. She covered the content in a professional manner but also hit a personal level, especially involving activities that needed a relaxed approach. The course itself was fantastic from start to finish and left everyone relaxed and inspired while raring to go out and deliver yoga to other people – Tom
Trish is fantastic at her work and her knowledge about yoga cannot be faulted. I suffer from lower back ache on a regular basis and the yoga positions she showed me during the day has helped me improve my flexibility and strength in areas of my lower back. The resources provided are high quality and all in all Trish’s bubbly character made the day one hundred times better – Zoey
Went into the session having not done any yoga previous and did not know what to expect. Trish was a pleasure to work with, very knowledgeable but had a good sense of humor and made the session enjoyable. An inspirational session and teacher and I have already considered taking up yoga in my spare time – Ashleigh
Trish’s introduction to yoga was incredibly enlightening. The workshop was tailored to all ability levels and taught us how simple breathing exercises, stretching and clear mindfulness can benefit peoples’ everyday lives. The varied teaching resources will be extremely useful both for lunchtime clubs and curriculum time at school – Lois
An inspirational session which included yoga routines ideal for students. Never been as relaxed in my life! A good day and I would highly recommend it. – Harriet
A fantastic, informative course which has given me the confidence to teach yoga to pupils – Dayne

The Yoga for Schools training gave teachers and adults supporting learning in our School Sport Partnership the resources and skills they needed to set up Yoga classes in Primary and Secondary Schools. It is an excellent way to enhance the provision being offered to encourage Children to take up the 5 hour offer.

The mixture of PLTs and Secondary PE teachers all got something very valuable from the course. Many were very enthusiastic saying that they hadn’t realised that there was so much to yoga. Everyone felt that the pack and the approach were very useable both in a club and in curriculum time. A very enjoyable course to take part in also!’

“The course was great and perfect for teachers. It was delivered really well and the resource is excellent – It provides a clear structure for them to follow. It is excellent value for money and it would come highly recommended by me for both trainees and qualified teachers. With the changing face of PE I think it is such a useful tool for teachers to have and the resource is so easy to use. ”

I just wanted to email to say thank you for an “inspirational day” yesterday on the Yoga for Schools Part 2 course. Not only did I have a great time, I came back to school full of ideas! I loved your philosophy, which really makes Yoga accessible for all and hope that I can do you proud.

“Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for the unique yoga experience we had last week in Ipswich. The course was a true inspiration and must admit have used yoga myself every day since last Thursday. Couldn’t wait to trial it on the children I work with, so Monday gave it a first run, the results were amazing so many children getting something different each from it, brilliant. Thank you again, a tool I will use forever.”

Our yoga in schools has gone from strength to strength all the teachers in the primary have had at least one course for their classes. We also ran a parent /child afterschool club which was highly successful and will be repeated. The high school has an after school club for yoga this has been used by students and teachers and for some it has been part of the physical section in the duke of Edinburgh award.
Male and female pupils attend from various age groups. So as you can see the schools are making good use of the yoga factory. Parents approach me at school telling me how their daughters and sons look forward to the lessons. One boy told me during his relaxation time he had gone to heaven as his special place to visit his grandmother he wasn’t at all upset he seemed quite happy that he’d been able to do this. The teachers are very supportive and even the headmaster has included a yoga zone in the new playground design (this is a specialised wall chart painted on the building with various poses for the children to copy).
I’ve loved every minute of yoga in schools!

“I have completed both courses and loved them, but I also wanted to let you know about the success I have had with using yoga with my class this year. I have a very interesting class this year – a very high level of SEN, with a lot of ADHD and ASD children.
Consequently myself and the support staff spend much time managing behaviour. I introduced the class to your yoga routines in September and they really enjoyed the lessons. Most of the children found it hard to relax to start, but now really enjoy the lessons, especially the mediation/relaxation part, so much so that if things become a little tense in the classroom, I will use the breathing exercises, or we will sit and listen to one of the meditations (they love the rainforest one). Last week, we couldn’t go outside for our PE lesson so the next day when the hall was available, I told the class we were going in to do yoga.
The response was a resounding “Yes!” I am now going to run an after school club one day a week in the lead up to SATs for children, including the Year 6’s, with whom I also introduced your routines in the autumn term – many had said how the relaxation helped them and would like this during the spring term.
Thank you so much, not only for your amazing resource, but also the brilliant training days.”

I attended one of your yoga factory courses last year in Medway. Just wanted to say how much I loved it – thank you! I’ve been doing routines A and B regularly and have noticed an improvement in my general well-being and physical appearance! I am starting a yoga club in my school next week and am going to include it in my PE lessons this term. Wish I could teach yoga to children full-time!

I recently attended a yoga course. I thought it was well delivered, great atmosphere. The tutor was very approachable and gave clear precise instructions. As I am a tennis coach I feel it will enhance my lessons e.g. balance, co- ordination, relaxation skills, warm ups and cool downs. I left the course feeling very excited so a big thank you to Trish I can’t wait to deliver it.

Trish thank you so much for inviting me to join the MK teachers on the yoga for school part 2 course. The last course provided me with the most valuable resource I own. For the 6 hours of my time with you, I am sure it has transferred into over a hundred hours of teaching time. I have no doubt that the follow up will be equally as well received.

I would just like to let you know how much I have used and enjoyed the resources that I was given from course 1. The children have enjoyed doing the yoga very much and it seems that the boys really get into it. We are planning to run a morning yoga club for all years 3-6 before the school day starts.I would like to say again that the yoga pack you gave us on the first course is one of the best resource packs I have been given.Thank you once again
